Yogurt: health in spoons
Yogurt is a dairy product that provides more benefits than those that are known, and is ideal for people all ages.

Staying in shape is much more than just a fashion.  Yogurt is a simple food that is good for the body, and consists basically of milk and “good” bacteria that produces an enzyme.  This enzyme attacks natural milk sugars, and produces lactic acid and turns it into yogurt.

This dairy product so widely known has existed for over four thousand years; it is even mentioned in the Bible.  At the beginning of the 20th Century, it was sold in drug stores because it was prescribed due to its therapeutic properties, and it is currently consumed worldwide.

“Only 220 grams of yogurt contain 35-40% of the daily quota of calcium that shall be consumed.  In addition, yogurt has an important amount of digestible protein, as well as calcium, potassium, phosphorous and, without doubt, it is an extraordinary source of vitamins B-6, B-12, B-3 (niacin) and folic acid”, as mentioned by Erika Campos, CoopeCoronado’s Nutritional Advisor.

There are several studies that prove that this product has a lot of beneficial properties, if consumed daily.  This is how it becomes a great ally of the digestive system, because it protects it against the natural stomach acids, and prevents and controls infections, diarrhea, constipation and colitis.  It’s also recommended after antibiotics treatments, because it helps recover the intestinal flora affected by these drugs.

Vitality for every day

Do not leave yogurt aside, enjoy it every day and stay healthy.  Some of its great benefits are:

• It does not have counter indications for children or for adults.
• It hinders the proliferation of harmful microbes in the intestine by releasing toxins.
• It regulates the intestinal bacterial flora and delays aging.
• Suggested for those who eat meat frequently.
• It has, by nature, a sedative power for the nervous system.
• It is used for children’s lack of appetite.
